The Opportunity This is a critical, client-facing role where you will take full ownership of high-volume commercial solar and battery projects from handover through to practical completion and final close-out. You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working at the intersection of engineering, construction, and energy, you’ll manage multiple projects concurrently—balancing commercial outcomes with operational excellence. Key Responsibilities You will be accountable for the full project lifecycle, including: Delivering commercial solar and battery projects safely, on time, and within budget Managing project programs, timelines, risks, cost control, forecasting, and variations Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and stakeholder engagement throughout delivery Coordinating internal teams and external partners including engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and network authorities Collaborating with the Head of Installations and Procurement on procurement strategy Reviewing and approving purchase orders, variations, and progress claims Ensuring all projects meet strict safety, compliance, and quality standards Managing subcontractor performance and resolving delivery challenges proactively Leading project meetings, reporting, and updates (both internal and client-facing) Identifying risks early and implementing effective mitigation strategies Capturing lessons learned to continuously improve delivery efficiency, margin protection, and quality outcomes Experience & Skills To succeed in this role, you will bring: 5 years’ experience delivering projects in commercial solar, battery, electrical, construction, or infrastructure environments Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality or timelines Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and margin protection Experience managing subcontractors and administering contracts Working knowledge of project management tools and systems A solid understanding of safety, compliance, and quality standards in construction environments The ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering documentation, and contracts Excellent communication skills with the confidence to manage clients and stakeholders effectively If you’re excited about shaping the future of large-scale commercial solar and battery projects in Australia while building a critical capability within a high-growth renewable energy company, we’d love to hear from you.
